Description
This was a photograph of a painting commission that I did for my parents in 2004-ish, so that they'd give me allowance and things when I was in university.
The actual painting is huuuuuuuge, and now displays in my parent's family room.
The figures in the painting are based on my family members and the four stages of recovery from being a victim (roughly, Shock/Disbelief/Being a Victim, Outward Adjustment, Reorganization, and Resolution).
The tree stands for family growth.
The flowers don't consciously mean anything, as I put them in not really thinking about them. Possibly, new life.
